NEW YORK — Former First Lady Michelle Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, are set to launch a new weekly podcast series later this month. The show, titled “IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,” will feature a variety of special guests drawn from fields such as entertainment, sports, health, and business. Through engaging conversations, the duo aims to tackle “everyday questions shaping our lives, relationships and the world around us.” The acronym “IMO” stands for “In My Opinion,” hinting at the personal touch underlying the discussions.

Among the lineup of guests poised to join the podcast are well-known personalities such as actors Issa Rae and Keke Palmer, along with renowned psychologist Dr. Orna Guralnik. Additionally, filmmakers Seth and Lauren Rogan, soccer icon Abby Wambach, authors Jay Shetty, Glennon Doyle, and Logan Ury, editor Elaine Welteroth, radio host Angie Martinez, and media mogul Tyler Perry will make appearances. The dynamic roster also includes actor Tracee Ellis Ross, celebrated couple Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, and Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky.

Kicking off March 12, the podcast will debut with two episodes. The first is an introductory segment, while the second spotlights a discussion with Issa Rae. Following the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly, accessible on all major audio platforms as well as YouTube.

In a statement addressing the podcast’s launch, Michelle Obama reflected on the current global climate, saying, “With everything going on in the world, we’re all looking for answers and people to turn to. There is no single way to deal with the challenges we may be facing — whether it’s family, faith, or our personal relationships — but taking the time to open up and talk about these issues can provide hope.”

This upcoming podcast is not Michelle Obama’s first foray into the audio realm. Her previous projects include “The Michelle Obama Podcast” launched in 2020, followed by “The Light We Carry” in 2023. Simultaneously, her husband, former President Barack Obama, explored American life themes through conversations with Bruce Springsteen.

The podcast is produced by Higher Ground, a media venture established in 2018 by Michelle and Barack Obama, showcasing the couple’s commitment to fostering engaging, thought-provoking content.
