CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Jaycee Horn has reached an agreement with the Carolina Panthers for a four-year contract extension valued at $100 million, including $70 million in guaranteed payments. This deal positions him as the NFL’s highest-paid cornerback, according to a source with knowledge of the agreement.

The source disclosed these details under the condition of anonymity because the team has not publicly confirmed the contract terms. On their website, the Panthers announced Horn’s new deal but chose not to reveal the financial specifics.

Drafted as the eighth overall pick in 2021, Horn recently marked his first Pro Bowl appearance. In that outstanding season, he achieved 68 tackles, two sacks, and secured one interception.

Despite a history of injuries, Panthers General Manager Dan Morgan expressed at the NFL Combine that Horn is considered a defensive cornerstone. Horn has consistently delivered strong performances as a cornerback when fit to play. However, maintaining his presence on the field has posed challenges. Last season, Horn appeared in a career-high 15 games for the Panthers, yet the team extended its playoff drought to seven years. Over the previous three seasons leading up to 2024, injuries restricted him to just 25 games.

Horn was in the final year of his rookie contract with the Panthers, making this extension a significant step for both him and the team.
