UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Lauren Jensen shined with 19 points to propel No. 22 Creighton past Seton Hall in a decisive 73-44 victory during Sunday’s semifinals of the Big East Conference Tournament. This victory sets the stage for an anticipated championship showdown on Monday against No. 3 UConn, a team that handed Creighton their only two conference defeats this season by margins of 11 and 19 points.

Morgan Maly contributed with 14 points for second-seeded Creighton, extending her streak of games with a three-pointer to 51. The Bluejays, who had previously mounted a rally from a 12-point deficit to defeat Georgetown in the quarterfinals, are now eyeing their first title game appearance since 2016. Kennedy Townsend added a solid performance with 10 points, while Jensen climbed to the third spot on Creighton’s career scoring leaderboard with a total of 2,029 points.

For Seton Hall, Faith Masonius led with 16 points and Jada Eads chipped in 11. The Bluejays set a rapid pace from the start, utilizing their long-range shooting prowess to connect on 5 of 7 three-point attempts during the first quarter, with Jensen contributing two three-pointers and 10 points overall to establish a commanding 23-6 lead. The Pirates struggled, managing just 3 of 13 from the field and committing four turnovers. Although Seton Hall found some rhythm in the second quarter to cut the lead to 33-22 by halftime, Creighton’s early exploits from behind the arc were pivotal.

In the second half, Creighton maintained their offensive efficiency, shooting 57% overall, and sprinted to a 19-4 start in the fourth quarter, extending their lead to 30 points and sealing the game. The Bluejays were particularly effective from three-point range, finishing 12 of 23, while also capitalizing on close-range opportunities with a 17 of 32 performance.

Seton Hall struggled offensively throughout the game, shooting a mere 28% overall and suffering from dismal 3 of 18 shooting beyond the arc.
