TEMPE, Ariz. — The Arizona Cardinals have officially re-signed linebacker Baron Browning for the next two years, as announced by the team on Sunday.

The 26-year-old linebacker made a significant impact with the Cardinals last season, having been acquired midway through the season from the Denver Broncos. During his time with the Cardinals last year, Browning recorded two sacks and 14 tackles in eight games, showcasing his abilities as a valuable asset to the defense. Over the next two seasons, Browning is expected to bolster the Cardinals’ pass rush further.

Prior to joining the Cardinals, Browning had an impressive record with the Broncos, where he amassed 9 1/2 sacks over three and a half seasons. During his tenure with Denver, he played in a total of 43 games, starting in 28 of them.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 240 pounds, Browning was originally selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. His combination of size and skill made him a sought-after player, and the Cardinals are looking forward to seeing him contribute to the team’s defense moving forward.
