Jordan Morris etched his name in the history books by becoming Seattle’s top goal-scorer in the franchise’s history. He netted his 87th career goal in the 77th minute, surpassing the previous record-holder, Raúl Ruidíaz, who had 71 MLS goals.
Kalani Kossa-Rienzi had a memorable night, scoring his first MLS goal in the 11th minute to give the Sounders an early advantage. The 22-year-old exhibited exquisite skill as he controlled a long pass on the right, gracefully maneuvered past the defense, and delivered a powerful left-footed shot into the net.
Paul Rothrock then gave Seattle the decisive lead in the 57th minute with a striking goal from outside the penalty area. Christian Roldan, who came on as a substitute, extended the lead further by scoring in the 84th minute. Roldan’s contribution ensured the Sounders held a firm grasp on the game in its final moments.
