DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — With an impressive 22-point performance, Kalil Camara led Bethune-Cookman to a thrilling 76-75 victory over Florida A&M in their regular-season finale on Saturday. Camara’s accuracy was notable, as he connected on 8 of 14 shots, including 5 of 9 from beyond the arc, although he only managed 1 of 3 from the free-throw line. His efforts were pivotal for the Wildcats, who ended their season with a record of 16-15 overall and 13-5 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Brayon Freeman contributed significantly to the Wildcat’s win, scoring 18 points and dishing out five assists. In addition, Trey Thomas added 10 points, going 5 for 13 from the field, though he missed all three attempts from the three-point line.
The contest saw a strong effort from the Florida A&M Rattlers, with Milton Matthews leading their charge by scoring 21 points. Sterling Young made his presence felt by adding 20 points and achieving two steals. Jordan Chatman was also a key player for the Rattlers, contributing 11 points.
