Cornell wins 100-81 with Williams’ 26 points

    ITHACA, N.Y. — Behind a stellar performance from Nazir Williams, who scored 26 points, the Cornell Big Red triumphed over the Columbia Lions with a final score of 100-81 on Saturday.

    With this victory, Cornell secured the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Ivy Madness tournament, which will be held in Providence, Rhode Island, on March 15 and 16.

    In addition to his scoring, Williams pulled down six rebounds for the Big Red (17-10, 9-5 Ivy League). AK Okereke also made significant contributions, scoring 21 points and snagging eight rebounds. Guy Ragland Jr. chipped in with 15 points while shooting 5 of 9 from the field, including 3 of 7 from beyond the arc.

    On the other side, Zine Eddine Bedri was Columbia’s (12-15, 1-13) leading scorer, with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa added 14 points to the Lions’ effort, and Mason Ritter scored 10 points. This defeat marked the seventh consecutive loss for Columbia.
