NORTH PORT, Fla. — Atlanta Braves’ outfielder Jurickson Profar exited the spring training match on Saturday following a jammed left wrist injury.
During the fourth inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Profar sustained the injury after attempting a diving catch on Jack Suwinski’s sinking liner to left field, which resulted in an awkward landing on his arm.
Initial X-ray results indicated no fractures, but the Braves announced that Profar will undergo additional tests to assess the extent of the injury.
Profar, 32, joined the Braves in January, signing a three-year deal worth $42 million. He is coming off an impressive season with the San Diego Padres, where he posted a .280 batting average, hit 24 home runs, and secured 85 RBIs.
