Flights heading to Kuwait experienced temporary disruptions on Saturday due to reasons that weren’t immediately clear.
Local Kuwaiti media cited “technical issues” as the cause for the interruption. However, neither the state-run KUNA news agency nor state television promptly commented on the situation. This incident occurred following the passage of rainstorms through the Gulf Arab nation.
According to flight-tracking data, certain flights redirected away from Kuwait, while others remained grounded with delayed departures. However, operations resumed with flights beginning to take off around 0800 GMT.
The main aviation hub in the country is Kuwait International Airport, located just outside Kuwait City.
