    NEW YORK — Rafael Castro spearheaded George Washington’s victory over Fordham with a notable 16-point contribution in their 81-58 win on Wednesday.

    Castro also dominated the boards, pulling down eight rebounds for the Revolutionaries (20-11, 9-9 Atlantic 10 Conference) as the team wrapped up its regular season. Trey Autry also had a standout performance by scoring 14 points while boasting a 3 of 7 shooting record, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc and a perfect 7 for 7 from the free-throw line, coupled with seven rebounds. Sean Hansen added to the team’s success, delivering 10 points and maintaining a high accuracy by shooting 5 of 8 from the field.

    On the opposing side, Jackie Johnson III led Fordham with 19 points while Abdou Tsimbila made significant contributions with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks for the Rams (11-19, 3-14). Japhet Medor chipped in with seven points and handed out four assists. The team continues in a difficult stretch, marking their seventh consecutive defeat.

    Fordham is set to visit Rhode Island on Saturday, concluding their regular-season schedule.
