Carmichael Scores 14 in Boise State’s Win Over Air Force

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — In a commanding victory, Boise State triumphed over Air Force with a score of 80-57 on Tuesday night. Pearson Carmichael was a standout player, contributing 14 points to the Broncos’ impressive win. He also grabbed seven rebounds, consolidating Boise State’s strong position in the Mountain West Conference as they boast a 22-8 overall record and 14-5 in conference play.

    Assisting the effort, Andrew Meadow matched Carmichael with 14 points, achieving this on 3-for-6 shooting, including hitting two of three from beyond the arc, and sinking six of eight free-throw attempts. Meadow also collected five rebounds. Meanwhile, Alvaro Cardenas added 13 points, making four of his 11 field-goal attempts and three of eight from three-point range. He also contributed significantly with five rebounds and six assists.

    For the Falcons, who now stand at a 4-26 record, with only one conference victory (1-18), Ethan Taylor was the top scorer. He finished with 16 points alongside five assists and two steals. Will Cooper and Chase Beasley chipped in with seven points and six points, respectively, with Beasley also securing eight rebounds.

    Boise State established control of the game early, taking the lead approximately seven and a half minutes in and maintaining it for the duration. By halftime, the Broncos led with a score of 38-21, with Meadow already accumulating 11 points. The team’s dominance extended into the second half, widening their lead to 60-30, thanks to a decisive 17-2 scoring surge. Tyson Degenhart contributed significantly during this period, leading the team with eight points in the second half, helping ensure Boise State’s emphatic victory.

    Looking ahead, Boise State will conclude the regular season on their home court against Colorado State this Friday, while Air Force will travel to face Utah State on Saturday.
