NEW YORK — The New York Knicks were without their All-Star center, Karl-Anthony Towns, during the game against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night due to personal reasons. Coach Tom Thibodeau stated uncertainty about Towns’ availability for the team’s upcoming road games.

In Towns’ absence, Mitchell Robinson was to be the starting center for the first time this season. This marks Robinson’s third appearance since recovering from ankle surgery. The Knicks are gearing up for a challenging five-game road trip, which will kick off on Thursday with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Coach Thibodeau emphasized that Towns would be given the necessary time away before rejoining the team. Although the timeline for his return hasn’t been confirmed, the team is looking forward to having him back once he is ready.
