Andrew Tate shared his disappointment with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during an appearance on a podcast, expressing dissatisfaction with the governor’s recent remarks. This comes after Tate and his brother, Tristan, who face human trafficking charges in Romania, made their way back to the United States.

During his participation in the PBD Podcast, hosted by Patrick Bet-David, Tate suggested that DeSantis may have succumbed to media influence. This was in response to DeSantis stating that the Tate brothers were not welcome in Florida following their arrival in Fort Lauderdale. The governor indicated that Florida’s attorney general was examining if the state held any jurisdiction over the alleged crimes committed by the brothers and how they could be held accountable. In legal documents, the Tate brothers have stated they have never been residents of Florida.

Andrew expressed confusion as to why DeSantis did not adopt a stance that acknowledges his American citizenship and noted that the Romanian judicial system had allowed him to travel without identifying any legal violations within the U.S. Instead, DeSantis suggested that Florida’s attorney general might identify potential legal infractions the Tates committed.

In contrast, Andrew praised U.S. President Donald Trump for his straightforward response when asked about the Tate brothers. Trump remarked that he was unfamiliar with any pressure from his administration on the Romanian government regarding their release.

Andrew Tate, 38, known for his past professional kickboxing career and controversial views, has gained a following of over 10 million on the social platform X. Both he and his brother Tristan, 36, openly support Trump. During the podcast, Andrew reiterated his stance, emphasizing that he has yet to be tried or convicted of any crimes.

He highlighted the principle of being innocent until proven guilty, criticizing the delay in having a trial after several years. Andrew Tate has built an influential social media persona that resonates with many, particularly young men, appealing to them with his projected online luxury.

Tate has been previously banned from platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook for his outspoken comments deemed misogynistic, including views suggesting women are responsible for sexual assaults committed against them. The Tate brothers, holding both U.S. and British citizenship, were apprehended towards the end of 2022 and formally charged with operating a criminal enterprise that exploited women sexually in Romania. Andrew additionally faces rape charges, and both brothers deny these allegations.

Their return followed comments from Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu, mentioning that a Trump administration official had shown interest in their case at a security conference in Munich. Not long before, Andrew expressed confidence in his freedom via a social media post, suggesting a return to favorable conditions under Trump’s leadership.

As of now, there has been no immediate response from Governor DeSantis’ office concerning inquiries linked to the podcast.
