SEATTLE — In an impressive display of skill, reserve Malik Reneau led Indiana to a decisive 78-62 victory over Washington on Saturday by scoring 22 points on a highly efficient 10-for-13 shooting. His teammate, Luke Goode, played a crucial role as well, contributing 18 points, helping the Hoosiers dominate throughout the game. For nearly the entire match, Indiana was in control, only allowing Washington to briefly lead for 47 seconds.

Mackenzie Mgbako, alongside reserve Myles Rice, each put up 10 points for the Hoosiers (18-11, 9-9 Big Ten), who exhibited strong shooting prowess with a 49% success rate (30 for 61). On the other side, Zoom Diallo was Washington’s top scorer with 18 points, and Tyler Harris, Frank Kepnang, and Mekhi Mason all added 10 points for the Huskies (13-16, 4-14).

The Hoosiers quickly established their dominance with a 21-9 lead within the first ten minutes. They maintained their momentum into halftime with a 44-30 advantage. Although Washington briefly closed the gap to 44-37 after a 7-0 rally, sparked by Diallo’s early second-half 3-pointer, Indiana soon reclaimed control. Mgbako’s two free throws and Oumar Ballo’s jumper, plus an additional free throw, solidified Indiana’s double-digit lead for the duration of the game.

Reneau’s layup at the 8:10 mark saw Indiana enjoying a 20-point cushion at 64-44, marking their largest lead of the contest.

Extending their winning streak to three games, Indiana’s next challenge will take them to Oregon on Tuesday. Conversely, Washington, struggling with four consecutive losses, will travel to Los Angeles to face off against USC on Wednesday.
