COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Reggie Bass proved to be the clutch performer as he poured in 25 points, including the decisive free throws, to lead Lindenwood to a thrilling 76-74 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday.
His flawless scoring from the charity stripe with approximately three seconds on the clock sealed the win, as Tennessee Tech’s Jaylon Johnson missed a deep shot at the buzzer. Bass showcased his shooting prowess, connecting on 7 of 13 overall, an impressive 4 of 6 from beyond the arc, and was near-perfect with 7 of 9 from the free-throw line for the Lions (15-16, 10-10 Ohio Valley Conference).
Accompanying Bass’s solid performance, Jadis Jones contributed 22 points and pulled in six rebounds. Anias Futrell also added to the scoreline with 11 points.
The Golden Eagles (15-16, 10-10) saw JaJuan Nicholls lead their scoring effort, matching the Lions’ top scorer with 22 points while adding seven rebounds. Complementing Nicholls, Jaylon Johnson scored 22 points and dished out five assists. Contribution also came from Daniel Egbuniwe, who chalked up seven points, gathered seven rebounds, provided four assists, and blocked two shots.
