Robinson’s 26 leads Delaware St. past Coppin 83-79

    In Dover, Delaware, Delaware State emerged victorious in a competitive game against Coppin State, with a final score of 83-79 on Saturday. Martaz Robinson played a pivotal role in securing the win for the Hornets, contributing 26 points along with six crucial steals.

    Delaware State, who boosted their record to 15-12 overall and 7-5 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, saw significant support from Robert Smith, who scored 20 points by making 8 of his 18 attempts, including three successful shots from three-point range. Kaseem Watson also added to the Hornets’ score with 12 points, shooting 6 out of 11 from the field.

    On the other side, Coppin State, with a record of 5-22 overall and 3-9 in the conference, was led by Toby Nnadozie. Nnadozie delivered an impressive performance, leading all scorers with 29 points, and also contributing four assists and two steals. His teammate Julius Ellerbe supported with a strong showing, adding 16 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Additionally, Khali Horton finished with 14 points for the Eagles.
