Tarke’s 20 points lead Towson to 75-72 victory

    TOWSON, Md. — Nendah Tarke delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 20 points to propel Towson to a thrilling 75-72 victory over Hampton in their Coastal Athletic Association regular-season finale on Saturday.

    Tarke showcased impressive efficiency, connecting on 7 of 9 shots from the field and successfully converting 4 of 7 free-throw attempts for the Tigers, who concluded the season with a 21-10 overall record and a stellar 16-2 record in conference play.

    Adding to Towson’s scoring efforts, Tyler Tejada contributed 15 points by hitting 5 out of 13 attempts, including 2 of 6 from three-point land, while making all three of his free-throw shots. Dylan Williamson also played a key role, scoring 13 points and shooting 5 of 10 from the floor, knocking down 3 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc.

    Hampton’s efforts were spearheaded by Noah Farrakhan, who led all scorers with 26 points while also grabbing eight rebounds. His teammate, George Beale, chipped in with 16 points, and Xzavier Long contributed 10 points along with seven rebounds.

    In a critical moment, with only 11.8 seconds remaining in the game, Williamson’s crucial three-pointer gave Towson a 73-69 advantage, which helped seal the win.
