Northeastern Triumphs Over William & Mary 70-68

    In a dramatic conclusion to the regular season on Saturday, Rashad King propelled Northeastern to victory with a last-minute jump shot, sealing a 70-68 win against William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
    King topped the scoring chart for the Huskies with 22 points, including the decisive shot with only four seconds remaining on the clock. Handling the ball at the top of the key, King maneuvered just inside the foul line before executing a step-back move to nail the contested game-winner as he tumbled to the floor.
    Apart from his scoring heroics, King contributed significantly to the team’s effort with five rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Northeastern, who now possess a 17-14 overall record and a 9-9 record in the Coastal Athletic Association, also benefitted from Harold Woods’s performance. Woods recorded 16 points, efficiently shooting 6 for 10 from the field, including two successful three-point attempts, along with 13 rebounds and five steals. Meanwhile, JB Frankel added 12 points, shooting 4 of 11, including one three-pointer, and made three out of four free throws.
    William & Mary, who concluded the season with an 11-7 conference record, saw Caleb Dorsey lead their tally with 20 points and two steals. The Tribe also had contributions from Matteus Case, who scored 11 points and made two steals, and Isaiah Mbeng, who chipped in eight points and distributed five assists.
