STATESBORO, Ga. — In an exhilarating regular season showdown, Georgia Southern overcame Georgia State by a single point, capturing a 76-75 victory on Friday night.

The Eagles, who wrapped up the season with a 16-15 overall record and 8-10 in the Sun Belt Conference, were powered by Adante’ Holiman’s stellar performance. Holiman was on fire, scoring 24 points with impressive accuracy, making 8 of 13 shots, including an exceptional 6 of 10 from the three-point line.

His teammate, Nakavieon White, supported the effort by contributing 18 points. White was also effective from the field, making 6 out of 13 shots and was productive at the free-throw line by converting 4 of his 6 attempts.
