NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — In an exciting contest, Rider emerged victorious over Merrimack with a score of 83-78 on Friday night, thanks to a stellar performance by Zion Cruz. Cruz was instrumental in the Broncs’ success, contributing significantly with 23 points alongside six rebounds, helping his team improve their record to 11-18 overall and 7-11 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Supporting Cruz, TJ Weeks Jr. made a notable impact as well, scoring 13 points and grabbing nine rebounds to bolster Rider’s offense. Among other contributors, Ruben Rodriguez showcased his shooting proficiency by going 4 for 7 from the field, including 2 for 4 from behind the arc, to add 12 points to the team’s total.
