In Milan, the iconic Giorgio Armani continues to showcase his enduring creativity even at 90 years old. His Emporio Armani collection, revealed during Milan Fashion Week, cleverly incorporated playing card themes throughout the designs.

The collection featured garments adorned with sequined playing cards, cleverly inserted into bodices, belts, or jacket pockets. Tops with heart shapes subtly appeared beneath blazers, while diamond-shaped belt buckles and jewelry resembling clubs and spades completed the look. For those wanting to embrace the theme fully, an overcoat uniquely displayed all the card suits.

Armani’s designs paid homage to traditional menswear with a twist for women, presenting a range with three-piece suits and coordinating velvet ensembles, complemented by stylish ties or large neck bows. The trousers were cut in a relaxed fit with deep pockets, and shirt collars and cuffs gave an illusion of floating detachedly, elevating the magical ambiance of the show.

Following the show, Giorgio Armani appeared on stage for his traditional bow, joined by his niece, Silvana Armani, who leads the womenswear design studio, signaling a seamless line of succession. Armani’s enduring influence in the fashion world remains undiminished as he continues to deliver innovative designs.
