NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Central Connecticut State triumphed over Le Moyne, securing an 84-75 victory on Thursday night that earned them the Northeast Conference regular-season title. Led by Devin Haid, CCSU (22-6, 13-2 Northeast Conference) celebrated their 11th consecutive win.
Haid played a pivotal role for the Blue Devils, amassing 18 points while also contributing nine rebounds and six assists. Jayden Brown was also impressive, scoring 16 points and hitting 6 of 9 shots with a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Abdul Momoh added 13 points, completing 6 out of 9 of his shots from the floor.
On the opposing side, the Dolphins (9-21, 4-11) saw a stellar performance from AJ Dancier, who led their scoring with 25 points, along with four assists and three steals. Contributions were also made by Nate Fouts, who added 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists for Le Moyne.
Both teams are gearing up for their next games on Saturday, with Central Connecticut State scheduled to visit Wagner, while Le Moyne will be heading on the road to face Stonehill.
