NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — In a significant triumph for Central Connecticut State, Devin Haid led the Blue Devils to victory with a score of 84-75 against Le Moyne on Thursday night, securing the Northeast Conference regular-season title. This win marks the 11th consecutive victory for CCSU, which now sports an impressive record of 22-6 overall and 13-2 in the conference.
Devin Haid showcased his all-around talents by not only scoring 18 points but also contributing nine rebounds and six assists. His teammate, Jayden Brown, was efficient, adding 16 points by shooting 6 of 9 from the field and remaining perfect from beyond the arc with three 3-pointers. Abdul Momoh also played a critical role, scoring 13 points and shooting 6 of 9 from the floor.
On the opposing team, Le Moyne, which holds a season record of 9-21 and is 4-11 in the conference, was powered by AJ Dancier’s impressive performance. Dancier led the Dolphins with 25 points, accompanied by four assists and three steals. Nate Fouts also contributed significantly, ending the game with 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.
Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Saturday. Central Connecticut State is set to face off against Wagner in an away game, while Le Moyne will travel to compete against Stonehill.
