Hannah’s 22 leads Bradley over Valparaiso 76-65

    VALPARAISO, Ind. — Darius Hannah was instrumental in Bradley’s triumph over Valparaiso with a significant contribution of 22 points in their 76-65 victory on Wednesday night.

    In addition to his scoring, Hannah grabbed nine rebounds, playing a pivotal role for the Braves (23-7, 14-5 Missouri Valley Conference). Teammate Duke Deen added an impressive 19 points, shooting 7 of 10 from the field, with an exceptional 5 of 8 from beyond the arc, while also collecting six rebounds and three steals. Zek Montgomery contributed 12 points to the win.

    Cooper Schwieger was a standout player for the Beacons (13-17, 6-13), scoring 21 points and adding two blocks to his performance. All Wright scored 17 points to support Valparaiso, while Tyler Schmidt chipped in with 11 points and two blocks.

    With 10 points in the first half, Hannah kept Bradley within reach as they ended the half trailing by just one point, 29-28. However, Deen’s impactful 19 points in the second half propelled Bradley to secure an 11-point margin of victory.

    Both teams are set to conclude their regular season on Sunday, with Bradley hosting Northern Iowa and Valparaiso heading off to compete against UIC.
