MILAN – The Italian denim powerhouse Diesel has dramatically embraced the concept of a zombie apocalypse, as models took to a runway imbued with intense graffiti aesthetics, their eyes appearing ghostly and their mouths adorned with painted-on grins.
The Fall-Winter 2025-26 fashion collection, unveiled on Wednesday during the second day of Milan Fashion Week, showcased daring and bold silhouettes. The collection featured mini skirts that were essentially peplums, worn with either leggings or coordinating underwear. Male models sported jeans with a playful low-rise cut.
Diesel’s runway shows have become essential viewing during fashion week, largely due to the brand’s advances in textile design. The collection included a V-neck with a silicone fisherman pattern, complete with lifelike chest hair. Reflective denim and an unmistakably fragile-looking jersey added to the innovative textures of the show.
Glenn Martens, the visionary designer behind Diesel’s current trajectory, is set to lend his creativity to the esteemed Parisian fashion label Maison Margiela. Martens will succeed the renowned John Galliano, though no shifts in the creative direction have been announced for Diesel just yet.
