MILAN — The latest collection from Diesel has taken a turn towards the eerie, with the Italian denim brand presenting its models as though amidst a zombie apocalypse, characterized by hauntingly opaque eyes and smiles marked with graffiti-like spray paint.
The Fall-Winter 2025-26 collection, which was showcased on Wednesday during the second day of Milan Fashion Week, set a revealing and provocative tone. For the collection, silhouettes were daring, featuring mini skirts functioning barely more than peplums, necessitating the use of leggings or corresponding panties. Meanwhile, male models sported jeans with audaciously low rises.
Diesel has emerged as a highlight in fashion week, significantly due to its advancements in textile technology. Among the standout features was a V-neck made with silicone, designed with an eye-catching fisherman pattern and equipped with lifelike chest hair details. Reflective treatments gave denim a glossy appearance, while jersey fabric appeared to have a melting effect.
The creative mind behind the collection, Glenn Martens, is slated to bring his originality to Paris, as he transitions to the renowned fashion label Maison Margiela, which also boasts Italian ownership. He will succeed John Galliano in the role. As of now, no creative alterations have been disclosed at Diesel.
