DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given the green light to Australian left-arm spinner Matthew Kuhnemann’s bowling action. This decision follows a period of scrutiny after concerns were raised regarding his delivery technique.

Kuhnemann’s bowling came under the spotlight during the second test match against Sri Lanka, held in Galle earlier this month. Questions about its legality led to further investigation to ensure compliance with cricketing regulations.

To address these concerns, Kuhnemann underwent an independent bowling assessment at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane. The examination confirmed that his elbow extension during deliveries remained within the permissible limit of 15 degrees, endorsing the legality of his action.

Notably, Kuhnemann was instrumental in Australia’s dominant performance against Sri Lanka, contributing significantly to their 2-0 series victory. His remarkable achievement of 16 wickets came at an impressive average of 17.18, underscoring his importance to the team’s success.
