RENO, Nev. — Kobe Sanders played a pivotal role in Nevada’s dominating 84-61 triumph over Wyoming, scoring a remarkable 27 points off the bench on Tuesday.
In addition to his impressive scoring performance, Sanders contributed five rebounds for the Wolf Pack, who now hold a record of 16-12 overall and 8-9 in the Mountain West Conference. Tyler Rolison also performed exceptionally, tallying 16 points with a shooting efficiency of 6 out of 9 from the field and converting all three free-throw attempts. Rolison further supplemented his stats with five rebounds and five assists. Meanwhile, Nick Davidson added 14 points to the scoreboard, successfully sinking 9 of his 11 free-throw attempts, despite struggling with his perimeter shooting, going 2 for 7 overall and 1 for 3 from the three-point line.
The Cowboys were led by Kobe Newton, who scored 16 points. Wyoming’s offensive efforts were supported by Obi Agbim, who provided 11 points along with six assists. Abou Magassa made notable contributions as well, adding eight points and securing eight rebounds.
Nevada swiftly established control from the game’s outset, taking the lead just seconds in and maintaining it throughout. Davidson’s significant first-half contribution of 11 points helped the team gain a 39-28 advantage at halftime.
Looking ahead, Nevada is set to face UNLV on the road this Friday, while Wyoming will host San Diego State on Saturday.
