Her skill and leadership on the court were instrumental in guiding the Phoenix Mercury to three WNBA championships in 2007, 2009, and 2014. Her exceptional performances have earned her 14 All-WNBA selections and the honor of being named Finals MVP twice, in 2009 and 2014. Taurasi’s contributions were also recognized with the WNBA MVP award in 2009 and she was named Rookie of the Year in 2004. Furthermore, she was selected as an All-Star 11 times, cementing her place among the league’s elite.
Internationally, Taurasi has been a dominant force as well. She has claimed six Olympic gold medals, contributing to Team USA’s victories in the games of 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024.
