PEORIA, Ariz. — The Seattle Mariners have added seasoned pitcher Trevor Gott to their roster on a minor league deal, granting him a chance to showcase his skills at the major league spring training camp.
This opportunity comes as Gott is on a comeback trail after missing the entire 2024 season due to a torn UCL in his right elbow—a setback he endured during spring training with the Oakland Athletics. Following his injury, he underwent Tommy John surgery last April.
With a career record of 16-15, a 4.65 ERA, and six saves over 255 games, Gott first broke into the major leagues with the Los Angeles Angels in 2015. The right-hander is no stranger to the Mariners, having previously been part of their roster in 2023, where he made 30 appearances before a trade sent him to the New York Mets.
The Mariners are no strangers to bringing on seasoned talent to bolster their bullpen depth. Gott will be joining other veterans like Drew Pomeranz and Neftalí Feliz, all vying for a spot in Seattle’s bullpen this upcoming season.
