This win marked a significant turning point for the Panthers (5-23, 4-11 Southwestern Athletic Conference), ending their challenging streak of ten consecutive defeats.
Bush’s contribution extended beyond scoring, as he also tallied five assists. Supporting the effort was Tanahj Pettway, who scored 20 points, shooting an impressive 8 for 14, including sinking three of his five attempts from three-point range. Additionally, Zaakir Sawyer added 12 points, hitting six of his nine shots from the floor, further solidifying the team’s performance.
