    DELAND, Fla. — Jamie Phillips Jr. was the standout performer as Stetson secured a tight 69-67 win over Bellarmine on Monday night, ending a frustrating eight-game losing streak.

    Phillips played a crucial role for the Hatters by scoring 17 points. His performance included shooting 7 out of 12 from the field, connecting on one out of three attempts from beyond the arc, and making two out of three free throws. This victory improved Stetson’s season record to 8-22 overall and 6-11 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

    Two other players significantly contributed to Stetson’s success. Mehki Ellison added 14 points, bolstering the team’s offensive efforts, while Josh Massey chipped in with 12 points.

    In a valiant effort for the Knights, who fell to a 5-25 record overall and 2-15 in the conference, Billy Smith led with 15 points. He also helped his team with five assists and three steals.
