Adrian Wojnarowski, known for his impactful reports during his time at ESPN, is currently clearing out his office and using the opportunity to help fundraise for the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball program. He has taken to social media to promote an online auction featuring memorable items from his career, a move aimed at enhancing name, image, and likeness (NIL) resources for the Atlantic 10 team.
The auction includes a variety of unique items, such as his ESPN ID badge, multiple press passes, and several iPhones that were pivotal in breaking significant news stories. Notably, one of the phones he used to announce his own move from ESPN to St. Bonaventure in September is also included. Bidding for these items starts at prices varying from $90 for his 2023 NBA All-Star Game credential up to $525 for the phone he used to inform the world of the NBA’s suspension of play due to the COVID-19 pandemic back in 2020.
In addition to memorabilia, Wojnarowski is offering an unlimited number of opportunities for fans to engage in video chats or dine with him. As he embraces his role with the team, Wojnarowski, who is 55 years old, is not just serving as a general manager. He’s actively collaborating with coach Mark Schmidt and his team, taking on numerous responsibilities that include exploring NIL initiatives, managing the transfer portal, building recruitment strategies, and nurturing relationships with alumni players.
This multi-faceted role demonstrates Wojnarowski’s commitment to supporting his alma mater and enhancing the basketball program’s standing in a competitive landscape, reflecting his passion not only for the sport but also for fostering connections within the basketball community.
