LEWISBURG, Pa. — Former Major League Baseball player Alex Rodriguez showcased his talent in basketball by sinking a halfcourt shot that gifted a Bucknell University student with $10,000.

The 14-time All-Star participated during the halftime segment of Bucknell’s game against Army on Sunday. The 49-year-old athlete launched a shot that arched beautifully, banking off the backboard before swooshing through the net, much to the delight of the crowd and students in attendance.

Rodriguez was at Bucknell not just for the excitement of the game, but also to promote his business, Jump Platforms, which he co-founded alongside entrepreneurs Jordy Leiser and Marc Lore. Notably, Leiser serves as a trustee at Bucknell University.

Throughout his illustrious career, Rodriguez hit a remarkable 696 home runs playing for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees, establishing himself as one of the notable figures in baseball history.
