BURLINGTON, Vt. — In an impressive display, TJ Hurley netted 20 points, helping the University of Vermont secure an 85-61 victory over UMass-Lowell on Saturday evening.
Hurley had an efficient performance, hitting 6 of 13 from the field, which included a strong 5 for 8 from beyond the arc, and completing all three of his free throw attempts. This triumph marked the Catamounts’ sixth consecutive win, bringing their record to 17-11 overall and 10-3 in the America East Conference. Alongside Hurley, Shamir Bogues contributed significantly with 18 points and three steals, while Sam Alamutu showcased his skills by shooting 7 of 8 and finishing with 14 points.
On the other side, Quinton Mincey stood out for the River Hawks, recording 20 points along with seven rebounds. Additionally, Martin Somerville added 11 points and four steals, while Yuri Covington chipped in with nine points for UMass-Lowell, who now hold a season record of 16-12 with a conference record of 5-8.
This game further underscores Vermont’s strong momentum as they continue to push for success in their conference play.
