OGDEN, Utah — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday night, Blaise Threatt was the standout player for Weber State, scoring 27 points which included a crucial game-winning jumper just 0.7 seconds before the final buzzer, leading his team to a narrow victory over Portland State with a score of 60-58.

Threatt’s performance was complemented by his contribution of five rebounds, helping the Wildcats improve their record to 10 wins and 19 losses overall, with a conference mark of 4-11 in the Big Sky Conference. Trevor Henning also played a significant role, netting 15 points, shooting 6 of 13 from the field, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. Viljami Vartiainen added support with eight points for the Wildcats.

On the opposing side, the Vikings’ Terri Miller Jr. led his team in scoring, finishing with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Portland State’s offense was further bolstered by Jaylin Henderson, who also contributed 14 points along with six rebounds. Qiant Myers rounded out the scoring for the Vikings with 10 points and five assists, but it was not enough to secure a win.
