FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Trenton McLaughlin led the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks to a commanding 87-67 victory against the Eastern Washington Eagles on Saturday evening.
McLaughlin made a significant impact on the game, scoring 23 points while also contributing six assists and five steals to his team’s effort. Teammate Carson Towt supported with a strong performance, recording 19 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Ryan Abelman was notably efficient, hitting 5 of 6 shots, which included a perfect 3 for 3 from three-point range, to end the night with 13 points.
On the other side, Andrew Cook was the standout for the Eagles, finishing the contest with 14 points and two steals. Additionally, Mason Williams added 12 points, along with four assists, while Sebastian Hartmann chipped in seven points.
Looking ahead, Northern Arizona’s next challenge will come from a home game against Northern Colorado next Saturday. Meanwhile, Eastern Washington is set to face Weber State at home on Thursday, aiming to bounce back from this defeat.
