NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — In an impressive performance, Jordan Jones netted 23 points, leading Central Connecticut State past Stonehill with a decisive score of 67-41 on Saturday.
Jones showcased his shooting skills, making 9 of his 16 attempts from the field, including an impressive 5 out of 8 from the three-point line. The victory improves the Blue Devils’ record to 21-6, and they maintain a strong standing of 12-2 within the Northeast Conference. Devin Haid contributed significantly with 10 points while also grabbing seven rebounds and making four steals. Jaelen McGlone rounded out the scoring for Central Connecticut, shooting 3 for 4 overall and 2 for 3 from beyond the arc, finishing the game with eight points. This win marks the Blue Devils’ tenth consecutive victory.
For Stonehill, Todd Brogna emerged as the leading scorer with 11 points, while Chas Stinson added 10 points to the tally. Hermann Koffi gave support with six points, but the Skyhawks, with a record of 14-15 and a conference score of 6-8, struggled to keep pace with their opponents.
Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Thursday. Central Connecticut State will host Le Moyne, while Stonehill will travel to face Fairleigh Dickinson.
