HOUSTON – In a decisive matchup on Saturday, Rice University secured a solid 71-50 win over Tulsa, with Trae Broadnax playing a key role.

Broadnax scored 16 points and contributed six rebounds for the Owls, who improved their record to 13-15 overall and 4-11 in the American Athletic Conference.

Kellen Amos also had a notable performance, registering 13 points after hitting 3 out of 7 shots from the field, which included making 2 of 5 attempts from beyond the arc. He also completed 5 of 7 free throws and added eight rebounds to his tally.

Jimmy Oladokun Jr. chipped in with 10 points, efficiently shooting 4 of 6 from the field and hitting 2 of 4 from the charity stripe.

On the other side, the Golden Hurricane, with a record of 11-17 and 5-10 in the conference, saw Keaston Willis lead their scoring efforts with 14 points.
