    Macon, Georgia – In a notable basketball showdown on Saturday, UNC Greensboro triumphed over Mercer with a score of 78-61, thanks to a standout performance from Donovan Atwell, who contributed 17 points to his team’s success.

    Atwell’s shooting accuracy was impressive as he made 7 out of 12 attempts, including 3 from beyond the three-point line out of 5 tries. The Spartans, now sporting a record of 19 wins and 10 losses, as well as 12 wins and 4 losses in the Southern Conference, saw significant contributions from Jalen Breath, who netted 16 points and secured 14 rebounds. Breath showcased his efficiency by hitting 5 out of 6 shots and converting all his free throws (6 for 6). Kenyon Giles added another 15 points to the scoreboard, completing 5 of 15 attempts, including 3 out of 7 from three-point range.
