The Winnipeg Jets have announced a two-year contract extension for seasoned center Vladislav Namestnikov.
The extension, confirmed by the team on Saturday, is valued at an average of $3 million per year.
This season, the 32-year-old forward has made a notable impact, with 10 goals and 19 assists over the course of 52 games.
Heading into Saturday’s match against the St. Louis Blues, he was in the midst of a four-game point streak, having achieved one goal and four assists during this span.
Namestnikov, originally drafted 27th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2011 NHL draft, has showcased his talent in the league for over a decade.
Throughout his career, he has played for several teams, including the Jets, Lightning, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, and New York Rangers.
In total, he has participated in 760 regular-season games and accumulated 327 points.
Weighing 181 pounds and standing at six feet tall, Namestnikov has also demonstrated his skills in the postseason, amassing seven goals and seven assists in 57 playoff games.
