Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized the importance of this moment for forging a path toward peace, stating that while difficulties may arise, achieving a lasting peace is within reach. In response, Russia’s ambassador to the U.N., Vassily Nebenzia, remarked positively on the proposed resolution, suggesting an amendment to enhance its scope.
