MIAMI — Law enforcement officials have apprehended a suspect in connection with the theft of three high-end vehicles from a residence where Miami quarterback Carson Beck and basketball star Hanna Cavinder were present.
On Thursday afternoon, 20-year-old Tykwon Anderson was taken into custody. He is one of four individuals identified as involved in the theft of luxury cars, including a Lamborghini, as stated in the arrest documents.
Early Thursday morning, deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office were called to the couple’s residence. Both Beck and Cavinder informed the investigators that while they were sleeping, a silver Mercedes-Benz AMG, a red Lamborghini Urus, and a white Range Rover were stolen.
Authorities managed to recover the Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover a few hours later, although the Lamborghini remained missing at that time.
According to police reports, around 3 a.m. on Thursday, Anderson along with three other masked individuals arrived at Beck’s place. One member of the group successfully broke into a parked vehicle in the driveway and utilized the garage door opener to gain access to the house, ultimately obtaining the keys for all three vehicles.
It has been revealed that the alleged thieves arrived at Beck’s residence using a rental car that was registered to Anderson. Investigators tracked the location data from this rental vehicle, which helped them confirm Anderson’s presence at the crime scene.
Anderson faces charges of grand theft, vehicle theft, and burglary. He is currently being held at the Miami-Dade jail without the option of bail being set at this time. There are no attorney records listed for Anderson in online court filings.
