Kennesaw State celebrated a significant victory on Thursday night, overcoming UTEP with a score of 83-73, largely thanks to the standout performance of Adrian Wooley.
Wooley contributed immensely to the team’s success, scoring 21 points, while also grabbing five rebounds and dishing out seven assists for the Owls, who now have an overall record of 16 wins and 11 losses, with 8 of those wins in Conference USA play.
Alongside Wooley, Braedan Lue made a noteworthy contribution with 18 points. He demonstrated his shooting prowess by hitting 7 of 11 attempts from the field, including a strong 4 for 7 performance from beyond the arc. Lue also showcased his defensive skills with six rebounds and three blocks.
Frankquon Sherman added to the scoring efforts by converting 2 of 4 shots from the field and going an impressive 8 of 10 on free throws, ending the game with 13 points.
For UTEP, Ahamad Bynum emerged as the leading scorer, netting 24 points in the contest. David Terrell Jr. also had a solid game, contributing 16 points, while facilitating with four assists and grabbing two steals. Corey Camper Jr. rounded out the scoring for the Miners with 10 points, bringing their record to 17-9 overall and 7-6 in Conference USA.
This win serves as a crucial boost for Kennesaw State as they continue to enhance their standing in the conference.
