NEWARK, Del. — In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Jason Drake made a significant impact as he scored 14 points, assisting the Drexel Dragons in securing a narrow victory over the Delaware Fighting Blue Hens with a final score of 78-74.

Drake also contributed six assists to the team’s efforts, while fellow teammate Kobe Magee added to the scoreboard with 13 points, hitting 6 out of 9 shots, including a single three-pointer out of four attempts, along with grabbing seven rebounds. Victor Panov matched Magee’s effort with 13 points as he showcased exceptional accuracy, making five out of six attempts from the floor.

The Fighting Blue Hens were led by Niels Lane, who recorded 18 points in the contest. Support came from John Camden, who finished the game with 15 points and three steals, and Izaiah Pasha, who added 14 points while also dishing out nine assists and securing three steals for Delaware.

In the first half, Panov was a standout performer for Drexel, scoring 11 points and helping the Dragons establish a 44-35 advantage by halftime. The team continued to build on their lead in the second half with a momentum-shifting 7-0 run, pushing their advantage to 72-61 with just over six minutes left in the game.

Both teams are scheduled to play again on Saturday, with Drexel set to host Charleston, while Delaware will face Hofstra at their home arena.
