Kyle Hart has signed a one-year contract with the San Diego Padres valued at $1.5 million.
The agreement includes a base salary of $1 million for the 2025 season.
Additionally, the contract features a club option for the 2026 season, which is set at $5 million, along with a buyout clause of $500,000 if the option is not exercised.
Furthermore, the contract includes provisions for salary escalation based on the number of games Hart starts in 2025.
Specifically, he could earn an additional $250,000 for making 18 starts, $500,000 for 22 starts, $750,000 for 26 starts, and a maximum of $1 million for reaching 30 starts.
There is also a $250,000 assignment bonus that will be applied if he is traded during the duration of his contract.
At the conclusion of his contract, Kyle Hart will have the opportunity to become a free agent, which would allow him to explore new team options or negotiate a different deal.
