CORVALLIS, Ore. — In an assertive display, Josiah Lake contributed significantly with 16 points to propel Oregon State to a 79-65 victory against Pacific on Saturday night.

Lake complemented his scoring by grabbing five rebounds, playing a key role for the Beavers, who now boast a record of 18 wins and 9 losses, along with an 8-6 standing in the West Coast Conference. Nate Kingz also made a notable impact, netting 13 points after shooting 4 for 9 overall, including a strong 3 for 5 performance from three-point territory. Parsa Fallah added to the effort with a solid performance of 12 points, hitting 4 of 10 from the field and a perfect 4 for 4 at the free-throw line while also collecting seven rebounds.

On the other side, the Tigers struggled but showed resilience, particularly through the efforts of Lamar Washington, who led his team’s scoring with 16 points alongside six rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Elijah Fisher and Petar Krivokapic each made contributions to the scoreline, finishing with 14 points apiece for Pacific, whose record now stands at 9-20 with a 4-11 record in their conference games.

The match saw a tightly contested first half, with Oregon State entering halftime tied at 40-40, thanks in part to Fallah’s 10 points before the break. The Beavers seized the lead for good when Lake made a pivotal three-pointer just under 18 minutes remaining in the game. From that moment, Oregon State pulled away, outscoring Pacific by 14 points in the second half to clinch the victory.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to continue their campaigns on Thursday. Oregon State will travel to Pepperdine, while Pacific heads on the road to face San Francisco.
