TOWSON, Md. — Tyler Tejada contributed 15 points as Towson extended its winning streak to 12 games, overpowering Monmouth with an 80-54 scoreline on Saturday.
Tejada showcased solid shooting, hitting 6 out of 12 attempts from the floor, including 2 out of 8 from beyond the arc. Teammate Nendah Tarke made a notable contribution with 14 points and five rebounds, while Dylan Williamson added 13 points, sinking three 3-pointers in the process.
For Monmouth, Madison Durr was the top performer, scoring nine points along with two steals. Cornelius Robinson Jr. and Andrew Ball chipped in with eight points apiece, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in their favor.
Towson seized control early in the matchup, establishing the lead with 17:00 left in the first half and never looking back. By halftime, the Tigers had a commanding 39-20 lead, with Tejada leading the charge with 13 points at the break.
This victory strengthens Towson’s positioning within the Coastal Athletic Association, as they currently stand at 18-9 overall and 13-1 in conference play. With each game, they continue to build momentum heading towards the latter part of the season, showcasing their potential as a formidable contender.
