    GREENSBORO, N.C. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Deywilk Tavarez made a significant impact off the bench, scoring 20 points to propel Charleston to a 69-59 victory against N.C. A&T.

    Tavarez demonstrated accuracy on the court, making 4 of 8 shots, which included an impressive 4-for-7 from three-point range. He also contributed with 8 made free throws out of 12 attempts. The Cougars, now holding a record of 20-7 and 10-4 within the Coastal Athletic Association, saw AJ Smith add 18 points to the scoreboard, shooting 7 for 13 overall and hitting 1 of 4 from beyond the arc, along with a shooting mark of 3 for 5 from the free-throw line. Justas Stonkus also played a crucial role for Charleston, scoring 10 points with a shooting performance of 3 for 6, including 2 for 5 from three-point territory.

    On the other side, Jahnathan Lamothe stood out for the Aggies, who sit at 5-22 overall and 1-13 in their conference, leading his team with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals.
