    RIVERDALE, N.Y. — On Friday night, Will Sydnor was instrumental in leading Manhattan to a close victory over Merrimack, finalizing the score at 79-75. Sydnor demonstrated a strong performance, contributing 19 points and securing 10 rebounds for the Jaspers, who now hold a record of 12-10 and 7-6 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

    Wesley Robinson was another key player for Manhattan, netting 18 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Masiah Gilyard also made a significant impact, scoring 17 points with an efficient shooting line that included hitting 4 of 10 attempts overall and converting 2 of 3 from beyond the arc, as well as making 7 of 10 free-throw attempts.

    On the opposing side, Merrimack’s Adam Clark led his team with a commendable performance, finishing the game with 22 points, along with five assists, two steals, and two blocks. Matt Becht also contributed well, scoring 15 points for the Warriors, while Bryan Etumnu added to the scoreline with 11 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Merrimack’s record now stands at 14-11 and 11-3 in the conference.
